(New York, NY) – In a scathing editorial coming up in this Sunday’s New York Times, resident economist Paul Krugman excoriates those who foolishly believe that the country undergoing the lowest unemployment in a half a century is a positive sign.
“Those rubes in flyover country are happy jobs are coming back to their communities, but at what cost?” Krugman wrote, in an excerpt obtained exclusively by The Fake Scoop.
“Working sucks. If they’re at work at 10:30 AM, then who is going to watch 15 year old episodes of Jerry Springer?”
“These privileged white Midwestern men already had perfectly good part-time careers as cashiers at Dollar General. Now all of a sudden they want to produce something in America?”
Perhaps Krugman’s harshest comments were reserved for the racial minorities who are employed at record levels.
“Hey morons, how are we supposed to continue to exploit you as victims if you keep bettering yourselves?,” Krugman wrote.
