Cure Seeking Public Stocks Up on Hydrox Cookies

(Newark, New Jersey) – The malaria drug hydroxychloroquine has been in the news after showing promising results treating victims of the Covid-19 virus, which has lead to some confusion among the general public.

“I heard on the TV that Hydrox cookies cure Corona, so I went out right away and got some,” James Bruckner, 42, told The Fake Scoop outside of a Newark-area ShopRite.

Facebook Rumors

Driving the confectionery buying-spree is a viral Facebook post advising readers about the potential cure.

“DOUBLE STUFFED IS BETTER BUT REGULAR WORKS TOO,” the anonymous post reads.

Not Brand Specific

The run on Hydrox cookies has lead to nationwide shortages, but one expert isn’t concerned.

“Don’t let the medical establishment fool you – you can easily substitute Oreos,” a spokesperson for the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance told TFS.
