Restaurant Chain Chick-Fil-A Begins Hosting ‘Drag Queen Story Hours’

(Portland, Oregon) – It’s Tuesday night at the newest Chick-Fil-A location in downtown Portland, and dozens of children are enthralled by area Drag Queen Grace Monroe.

Monroe, 38, is reading the elementary school age kids “No Eggs IT’S MA’AM” – an update of the Dr. Seuss classic “Green Eggs and Ham” for the 21st century.

“That man has a potty mouth,” 7-year-old Jacob Lewis toldĀ The Fake Scoop before being reprimanded by his mother.

Just the Beginning

“Why should these amazing events be confined to the local libraries?,” CEO Dan Cathy wrote in a press release. “We are rolling this program out at all 2363 of our locations over the next couple of weeks.”

In addition to the weekly ‘Drag Queen Story Hours’, Cathy wrote that Chick-Fil-A will also be renovating all of their restaurants to remove urinals from the men’s restrooms.

“Yes, this will be very expensive,” Cathy explained. “But it’s pretty much a wash with all the money we are saving by no longer giving to those hateful bigots at the Salvation Army.”
